How to make a drawer with your own hands for a finished bed

A box for a bed can be done with your own hands. In the presence of a certain tool and the initial skills of working with it, such a task will not be difficult. You can use free space under the bed of the bed with two ways: in two ways:

Make a lifting bed with a niche under it.
Make rolling or drawers that will open in front of the bed or side.

For the construction of such a box, mandatory parameters are:

The distance between the legs of the bed. In order for the box to move normally and does not catch on the dimensions of the bed, its width should be slightly less than the distance between the legs. For the manufacture of a drawer, you will need:

Laminated chipboard plate. Dimensions must correspond to the size of the product. The bottom of the box will be made from it. For this work, it is impossible to use fiberboard, since the bottom should be tough, because the boxes of the box will be attached to it.
Material for the sides. An ideal option for the production of the sides of the box can be a laminate, especially if this material remains after laying the flooring. With its relatively small thickness, it has excellent operational and strength characteristics.
Furniture fittings. The following fittings will be needed to build a drawer: rollers (at least 4 pcs.), A pair of furniture pens, furniture steel corners, self -tapping screws.

Making a bed with drawers with your own hands

Additional legs are attached to the beam and boxes on both sides in the middle of the bed. The finished box is installed on special accessories. DIY guides for drawers with their own hands should be installed at a distance of at least 25 mm from the edge of the niche.
