This situation is often due to the fact that worried equipment is used in water treatment facilities. In addition, soil pollution and old pipes affect the quality of water. Therefore, water from the water supply cannot be called drinking. Therefore, the issue of cleaning it is now very relevant. For this, special filters are installed for water purification.

The main characteristics

Today on sale you can find water filters of various designs. Simple devices in the form of nozzles on a crane, in the form of a jug, and more complex are sold - overall stationary installations. The best degree of purification is those that purify water through the process of reverse osmosis.

All filters can be divided into:

• coal,
• membrane,
• mechanical.

Phased installation procedure:

1. Such devices for cleaning are installed at a distance from the floor of at least 400 mm. In this case, the lower edge of the device should be at a distance of 100 mm. If you adhere to these requirements, then the replacement of the replaced cartridge should not be a problem.
2. To install a mechanical filter for water, first, a segment for entering the device is noted on the water pipe. Then this part is separated using a pipeline, after which a thread of the desired diameter is made on it.
3. A clutch and countrogayka are installed on this site, and the filter is fixed on them, using sealing materials.
4. Sometimes fittings are used for external compounds. They can also be used when installing a mixed version of the devices. If there are plastic or metal pipes, then fittings with a special design are used.
5. Sometimes the place where it is planned to place the installation for cleaning, has non -standard sizes or is inaccessible. In this case, you can use special flexible hoses.

Reverse osmosis system

Using this cleaning system, even sea water can be cleaned to a drinking stage. In this case, sediment and pollution are destroyed using the installed membrane, which is arranged in such a way as to pass exclusively water molecules.

This system actively uses the pressure of the reverse osmosis. As for the configuration, it usually includes components such as a cumulative tank and interchangeable cartridges. In addition, there are also membranes and connecting equipment. The presence of a tap for drinking water is equally important. If you used to install a multi -stage cleaning system, then the installation process of this device will seem to you to your friends.

Phased installation procedure:

1. Such a system is mounted under the sink by cut into a pipe with cold water. For this, the kit has flexible hoses and a ball -tank. In addition, the filtration system should be attached to drainage through the drainage coupling. Straged water will be removed through the drain.
2. This cleaning system can be installed in both vertical and horizontal position. In any case, you need to leave enough space for free access to the treatment unit. This is necessary to ensure comfort when replacing worn out filtering elements or with a different form of maintenance.
3. If you do not have enough space under your sink, then the cumulative tank, which are part of the system, is allowed to put on the side. You can also install it in a regular kitchen cabinet. The way it will be located does not actually affect the performance of the filtering system.
4. With the device, the insert is usually equipped with a water supply, consisting of a tee and a tap that has access to the tube. First of all, you need to block cold water. Then you should install the insert. In this case, you need to wrap all the existing thread with a regular FUM film.
5. After that, you can install a crane on the sink using clamps and fasteners. They are usually included with a pipe.
6. Sometimes it happens that there are no additional holes that are needed to install a thin tap. If this is your case, then in addition to the drill, a diamond drill with a diameter of 12 mm is required. With it, the necessary holes are made. The entire surface layer is removed without fail until you get to the metal base.
7. After that, in a metallic basis, a 8 mm with a diameter of 8 mm needs to make a hole. The drilling process should take place slowly and accurately. After that, the hole is drilling more than a larger size, using 13 mm drill.
8. Then a crane is inserted into this hole and a nut is tightened. In this case, it is necessary to hold it with the help of a wrecking wrench.
9. When installing devices for cleaning water on a waste pipe, do not forget to place a clamp support. It can be installed on a horizontal or vertical section of the pipe. After that, holes with a diameter of 8 mm are made in it. Around it, it is necessary to install a protective gum with glue.
10. When installing clamps, it is important that the holes on the tube coincide and on the support itself. It is convenient to do this using a drill inserted into the hole. It remains to tighten the screws to a tight contact with the clamps.
11. The next step will be the installation of the accumulative unit. It should be noted that the internal pressure in it, when it is not filled, is about 0.9 atm. The tank carvings should be wrapped using a Teflon tape (preferably in several turns). After that, the plastic tap is attached to the tank. In this case, you can not pull the mount. Otherwise, the overall operation of the system may be violated.
12. When the above is done, the filter can be launched. After turning on the water, you need to observe the system and see if there are leaks. What should you pay attention to? It is important to make sure that the valve on the tank in the closed position.
13. Then open the crane through which purified water should start to flow after about a quarter of an hour.
14. At the last stage of the installation of the device, it is always necessary to rinse all the blocks of the system properly. Therefore, the first purified water should not be drunk. Give it a little to leak so that the system is washed.
15. After that, it is necessary to open the valve on the tank and close the crane. As a result, water will accumulate in the treatment compartment. When it becomes complete, the water must be drained into the sewer through the crane. Washed filters and tank make a system ready for use.

How to install a coal filter for water

So, how to install the water filter with your own hand:

1. First you need to decide where the device will be installed. It is important that the temperature in this place is within normal limits. In addition, it is advisable to be able to put forward a device for cleaning water out without the need to turn off the hoses. This is useful in the future so that you can quickly and conveniently replace various parts of the filter.
2. The hit of active sunlight can harm the device. This must be taken into account when selecting the installation site. If you decide to use a special bracket to mount the device for a wall, which is sometimes offered in the kit with the device, then below the floor should be left about 210 mm so that it is possible to change the cartridge without removing the filter and unscrew the flasks.
3. It is also necessary to decide on the place in the kitchen, where to place the crane from which pure water will come.
4. Before installing the filter, you need to calculate the length of the gasket for a plastic hose. Measurements are made from the point of insert into the pipe to the installation site of the filter itself. It is also necessary to make the length measured from the device to the place where the tap is placed.
5. The maximum length of the standard hose that is included is only 1.4-1.5 m. Therefore, unfortunately, this is not always enough for a successful installation. The kit usually includes a chrome tee. It is made for pipes 1/2 ″. This must be taken into account when choosing a place to install a trunk filter for water.
6. The approximate diameter of the pipe is only 20 mm. However, measurements must be made. After all, in fact, its dimensions can be larger. If this is true, then you most likely have a 3/4 ″ pipe. In order to mount the tee in this case, you will need to buy a couple of adapters in advance - one from 3/4 ″ on 1/2 ″, the other from 1/2 ″ to 3/4 ″.
7. Keep in mind that not always in the place where pipes are held, you can install an adapter. If you have such a case, then you can take a couple of hoses with a metal chrome braid. There should be enough small length.
8. When installing a household water device for cleaning, it is necessary to cut into a sink or countertop crane. The purified water will come from it. To carry out such a work, a hole of 12 mm is made. The drill for it is selected depending on the material. You may not have a special drill. In this case, it does not make sense to purchase it for one hole, and it is better to take a regular metal drill. If only it was sharp enough.
9. Gently outline the point where you will drill. To make the drilling process easier, the place where the hole will be, it is advisable to lubricate with fat and, in order not to cause overheating of the drill, you should drill at low speeds.
10. It is much more difficult to make the hole in a sink made of solid composite natural and polymeric materials. To drill such a design, you need to use a winning drill (has a special tip). They need to drill similarly at small speeds.
11. When they finished with the tap, you need to cut the tee into a pipe of cold water. It will perform the function of the node through which still unpeeled water from the water supply will be supplied directly to the filter. To do this, first block cold water. Then drain what remains.
12. Then a reinforced hose is unscrewed from the water pipe. You need to place a tee, usually included on the pipe. In this case, using the FUM film, fix the thread on which it will be installed.
13. Then it is necessary to attach a hose reinforced with a chrome braid to the tee. It connects a crane and a tube through which cold water is supplied. After that, a ball chick is being entered into the tee, which is similarly supplied in the kit. The thread here also needs to be compacted with FUM film.
14. The next step will be the installation of the filter element. (Sometimes this is not necessary - if this part was mounted by the manufacturer). The equipment should include in itself - the case of the device, the replaced cartridge, the column key and the ball tap. In addition, the kit has white or red connecting tubes, a tee, gaskets and some other details.
15. At the manufacturer, plugs are often inserted into the filter. This is done in order to protect the system from damage during transportation. These same plugs must be removed from the device after installing the filter elements. Then, plastic hoses are attached to the input and output.
16. You can securely fix the hoses using rapidly supporting plastic fittings, which are sometimes sold with the device.
17. Next, the filter entrance using hoses is connected to the tee installed at the input point. The release of the device is fixed with the tap. To do this, the hose is pushed into a nut removed from the tap using a divorce key. After that, it is worn until it stops on the fitting of a ball -tap.
18. When this is done, the unscrewed nut is placed back. It remains to insert the free end of the hose into a special clamp and install the tap of clean water. The latter is made by winding the nut on an empty threaded tube.
