Often, when buying a new cabinet, people do not think about the need to organize internal lighting. But the backlight brings great benefits, as often all cabinets (classic or wardrobes) occupy in the room are not the most illuminated place. To find the desired thing in the closet, you have to approach close to the shelves, shift the contents or include additional lighting. This problem is easy to solve by setting the backlight for the cabinet.

You can resort to the classic lighting scheme and connect the lamps to the switch. In this case, every time you need to open the closet and find the desired thing, you will have to be distracted and turn on the backlight manually, and then do not forget to turn it off. These actions deliver a lot of inconvenience and take precious time.

The optimal option for highlighting the built-in cabinet is automatic lighting. Vitely illumination looks like this: when the cabinet door is opened, the light turns on automatically, and when the door closes - turns off. How to choose a backlight

• the lamps are very sensitive to voltage drops, so they are recommended to include through the stabilizer, and some types of halogen lamps can only work through a lowering transformer;

Alternative to halogen lamps can be LED backlight (LED), which will not only refresh and diversify the interior of the room, but will also cover the inner space of the cabinet. Often it is used to illuminate walls, cabinets and other furniture - beds, bedside tables, shelves, kitchen cabinets.

How to make backlight in the closet

• transformer;
• halogen lamps;
• wire;
• connector;
• switch.

Before installing halogen lights should be familiar with the scheme:

these parameters should be considered when choosing a step-down transformer:

• input voltage;
• power (total power of lamps connected to the transformer).

In addition, the backlight setting will learn such rules:

1. Power transformer must be higher than five percent greater than the sum of the power halogen lamps.
2. At the output, transformers must produce twelve volts. For example, if you need to connect five luminaires (the power of each lamp is twenty watts), twelve volt voltage, then you must multiply the number of lamps to power and add five percent to the figure. Accordingly, the power of the transformer will be 105 watts.
3. Take into account the conformity of the operating voltage of the plug-in lamps.
4. The length of the wire for connecting the lamps with the transformer should not exceed two or three meters. If you take a wire larger length, then the power supply over long distances may decrease.
5. It must be borne in mind that during the operation of the transformer it will be heated, so it should be placed at a distance of twenty centimeters from heat sources (heater, battery).

Phased works on connecting lamps:

1. To prepare a place for halogen lamps, you need to use the electric drill and put the mill (crown).
2. Drill the hole with a depth of five or ten millimeters, and then turn the mill and reversal the hole. Without this reception, you can snatch a piece of chipboard from the wardrobe wall.
3. On the smooth surface, connect the elements of the backlight into a single chain.
4. To connect the luminaires, you need to connect the lamps with each other and connect them to the transformer.
5. To perform a parallel connection, you need to use pads or terminals.

Illuminated LED ribbon

Ribbon is sold in the store of electrical goods in the coils of five meters or on the Metrah. To illuminate kitchen cabinets, it is enough to buy one coil of the LED tape (the density of the LEDs - thirty pieces per meter), the desired number of terminal blocks for connecting the wires, the connector and the controller on the control panel. To power the tape, do not forget to buy a stuffer with a fork.

How to install LED tape:

1. Connect the passage of the power supply with the cord, and then the power supply with the controller. Please note that two short and thin wiring are suitable for the controller. Connect them securely to the power supply in this way: Slide from the insulation of the wiring for ten millimeters and apply solder. Now you can not worry about the reliability of contact.
2. On the controller you see four wires of different colors. You should connect the wiring of one color of the controller with a ribbon. You can use the soldering iron to connect, but the terminal blocks will be cope with this task.

3. At this stage, assembly needs to check the operation of the LEDs.
4. Now it remains to stick the LED tape inside the cabinet and connect to the electrical wiring.
