Often, when buying a new cabinet, people do not think about the need to organize internal lighting. But the backlight is greatly beneficial, since often all cabinets (classic or wardrobes) occupy a not-lit place in the room. To find the desired thing in the closet, you have to fit the shelves, shift the contents or turn on additional lighting. This problem is easy to solve by installing the backlight for the cabinet.

You can resort to a classic lighting scheme and connect the lamps to the switch. In this case, every time you need to open the cabinet and find the desired thing, you will have to be distracted and turn on manually backlight, and then do not forget to turn it off. These actions deliver a lot of inconvenience and take precious time.

The best option for illuminating the built -in cabinet is automatic lighting. An alternative to halogen lamps can be LED backlight (LED), which will not only refresh and diversify the interior of the room, but will also illuminate the interior space of the cabinet. Often it is used to illuminate walls, cabinets and other furniture - beds, bedside tables, shelves, kitchen cabinets.

How to make backlight in a closet

• measure and cut the cable-channel of the desired length;

How to install halogen lamps

Galogen lighting lighting is often used to organize the lighting of shelves in the closet. The stores sell finished sets consisting of three or five lamps. Choose a set of suitable size for lighting the cabinet shelves.

The standard backlight kit includes:

• transformer;
• halogen lamps;
• wires;
• connector;
• switch.

When choosing a lowering transformer, the following parameters should be taken into account:

• input voltage;
• power (the total amount of the power of the fixtures connected to the transformer).

In addition, study the such rules for installing the backlight:

1. The power of the transformer should be five percent higher than the power of the power of halogen lamps.
2. At the exit, the transformers should give out twelve volts. For example, if you need to connect five lamps (the power of each lamp is twenty watts), a voltage of twelve volts, then it is necessary to multiply the number of lamps by power and add five percent to the resulting number. Accordingly, the power of the transformer will be 105 watts.
3. Take into account the compliance of the operating voltage of the connected lamps.
4. The length of the wire for connecting the lamps with the transformer should not exceed two to three meters. If you take the wire of the larger length, then the power supply over long distances may decrease.
5. It must be borne in mind that when operating the transformer, it will heat up, so it should be located at a distance of twenty centimeters from heat sources (heater, battery).

Phased work on connecting lamps:

1. To prepare a place for halogen lamps, you need to use an electric drill and put on a cutter (crown).
2. Drill the hole with a depth of five to ten millimeters, and then turn the cutter and finish the hole. Without this reception, you can tear a piece of chipboard out of the wall wall.
3. On a flat surface, connect the elements of the backlight into a single chain.
4. To connect the fixtures, connect the lamps with each other and connect them to the transformer.
5. To perform a parallel connection, it is necessary to use pads or terminals.

LED ribbon backlight

The tape is sold in a store of electrical goods in coils of five meters or for a meter. To illuminate the kitchen cabinets, it is enough to buy one coil of the LED tape (the density of LEDs - thirty pieces per meter), the right number of terminal pads for connecting wires, a connector and a controller on the control panel. To write down the tape, do not forget to buy an electric shutter with a fork.

How to install LED tape:

1. Connect the power supply with a cord in a sequential power supply with a power supply with a controller. Please note that two short and thin wiring are suitable for the controller. You can connect them reliably to the power supply in this way: clean it from insulation of the wiring by ten millimeters and apply a solder. Now you can not worry about the reliability of contact.
2. On the controller you see four wires of different colors. The wiring of the same color controller with the ribbon should be connected. For the connection, you can use the soldering iron, but the terminal pads will best cope with this task.
