Repair in the children's room is one of the most important stages of work in the entire apartment. As has repeatedly noticed child psychologists, the interior in the child’s room to one degree or another affects the process of developing the baby. Especially important for the growth of the child's body, and its normal performance, is the organization of lighting in the children's room. The correct balance of natural and artificial lighting in all zones of the room will allow the child not to feel visual fatigue even after serious loads. This is especially true for schoolchildren. Classes in case of improper light can become a huge problem for the development of vision, which can lead to its loss. Therefore, the issue of proper coverage of the children's room must be approached very carefully and responsibly.

Natural lighting of the playground and room
Natural light is the best eye option. The child’s room should have enough sunlight, because classes with natural light are most preferable to the body. However, too much light can have the opposite effect. The child’s eyes will strain from bright light, and begin to get tired. Therefore, it is necessary to find the "golden mean".
The most optimal location of the window of the children's room is the southeastern side. In this case, the room will be enough, but it will not be too bright. If the windows overlook the south, then the light must be muffled with transparent curtains or fabric blinds. With the northern location of the window opening, it is necessary to do everything to increase the illumination of the room. This can be achieved with a bright tone of walls or an increase in the size of the window opening. The last option, of course, is more costly and will lead to an increase in heat loss in the room, but this is the most effective way. Try to place the child's workplace as close to the source of natural light as possible.
General lighting
The overall source of artificial light is usually located in the center of the room. As the latter, a large chandelier is used, usually for 3-4 lamps. However, do not have massive structures in the children's room. They will attract dust to themselves, and also be a source of additional danger, because too heavy the chandelier can fall at the most inopportune moment. An ideal option will be a light original design of several LED lamps directed in different directions. It is desirable that the chandelier be made of unconscious materials, because otherwise any throw of the ball or toy can lead to its destruction and injuries of the child.
To improve common light around the entire perimeter of the room in the suspended structure, you can arrange point lamps, which will lighten even the most distant corner of the room. They can be configured to a separate switch so that the inclusion is carried out independently. In this case, you or the child can yourself adjust the light in the room. A good option would be to install a rheostat. This device regulates the current supply to lighting devices, thereby making light brighter or more dim.
Lighting the working area
This is the most important place in the child’s room. Here he spends the most time, reading or doing lessons. That is why in this zone there should be enough light so that the child can work without a harmful effect on vision.
The main lighting device for the working area is a table lamp. Now there are a large number of reference lamp configurations. To choose the most optimal option, you must remember several main points:
- The power of the lighting device should be average. Too bright light, reflected from the white surface of the sheet, will simply blind the child, but too dull - on the contrary, it will make the eyes too over over. Light of incandescent lamp 50-60 watts or its analogue will be enough for the desktop.
- Daylight lamps (mercury) are not suitable for a desktop lamp. If you look closely, it is clear that such a lamp transmits flicker (the frequency of light vibrations is less than 50 Hz), which will create an additional load on the eyes.
- Also, too cold light is not very pleasant for the eyes, so it is better to choose warm tones (yellow light), it is more natural.
- The light bulb in a desktop lighting device should be hidden under the reflector, and not radiate light on the sides. It should be below the level of the eye to illuminate the surface of the table, and not shine the child in the eye.
- If there are any shelves above the working surface, they can be used as a support for the installation of additional light sources for the working area, it can be spotlights.
Additional lighting and floor lamps
As additional lighting, you can use small decorative lamps or floor lamps. They can be hung around the perimeter of the room, creating an unsurpassed atmosphere, or you can put in certain places to illuminate limited area.
Nightlines
Most children cannot sleep in the room, so they need to organize night lighting. To do this, you can install a night lamp. Now they are made on the basis of small power LEDs (no more than 1 W), therefore, even working all night, it will not become a strong problem for the budget. Small models, stylized for toys, will become not only a source of light, but also a decoration of the interior of the room.
Decorative lamps of children's lighting
This type of lighting devices serves not so much for lighting a room as as an interior item to emphasize this or that style. It can be a lamp in the form of a racing car or an electric guitar. Lamps will look great if they are part of a finished picture or design solution. For example, if a street of the city is depicted on the wall with the help of photo wallpaper, then small lamps in the form of lamps on the poles will look amazing. If the suspended ceiling in the room of the child is dark blue, then he will very much like small spotlights in the form of stars. The theme of the starry sky is very popular recently. Ceiling lighting in the nursery can be organized upward with lamps. If it is perfectly white, the light will spread evenly throughout the room.
Lamps for artificial lighting in a children's bedroom
To organize lighting in the children's room, you can use various types of lamps. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages, and in order to make the right choice, you need to know about them.
- Breeding lamp. The principle of operation of such a lamp lies in the glow of a tungsten spiral in a vacuum flask. This is the oldest type of lighting devices. The disadvantages of such bulbs are: a low service life that usually does not exceed 1 year, high power consumption in comparison with other light sources, a high temperature of work, which can cause burns. Of the advantages, only a low price can be noted, which, however, does not compensate for the shortcomings of incandescent lamps.
- A gas discharge lamp. Such lamps appeared for a long time. The principle of their operation is to glow the vapor of mercury when electric current passes through them. Such devices differ in relatively low energy consumption (the ratio of electricity consumed with the same power of the light flux with an incandescent lamp is about 1: 5), a long service life. However, the gas-discharge lamp does not “love” the switches-offs, this leads to a decrease in the life of its service. Also at the beginning of work, she does not give out her rated light power - she needs time to warm herself. Mas discharge lamps give out cold light, which is not very good for the child’s vision. Another problem of such lamps is the need for their disposal. They contain mercury, so you can’t just throw them away.
- LED lamps. These are modern light sources that have absorbed all the positive aspects of artificial lighting lamps. They differ in a large coefficient of energy saving (the ratio of electricity consumed with the same power of the light flow with an incandescent lamp is about 1: 9). The service life of the LED lama can reach 40 thousand hours. At the moment, manufacturers produce models of different glow heat from 2500k to 6500k, which allows you to make a combined lighting system. Today, there are LED ribbons on sale, thanks to which you can install hidden lighting, for example, the backlight. The only drawback of LED lamps at this time is their price.
Installation of lighting in the children's room
Work on the installation of lighting in the children's room begins by laying the wiring. They are carried out during the overall repair. The switches in the room need to be placed so that the child can calmly get to them. It is necessary to minimize the presence of external wires in order to reduce the risk of a child's lesion. If there is such an opportunity, it is better to install lighting devices with a voltage of 12V, it is not so dangerous for the child.
The switches must correspond to the current that will pass through them so that their core does not melt. The lighting wiring is laid in a special metal grinder, which will prevent fire in case of short circuit. The connection of lamps and trunk wires should be made using terminals, twisting wires, even made of one material, is not allowed. The sockets in which the portable floor lamps and nightlights will be included in a special lid or holes curtains so that the child cannot insert a spoke or another thin object there. All lamps and floor lamps should be stable so that when playing in the room, the child cannot overturn them.
