- Attractive appearance. As already mentioned at the very beginning, the platbands can have a wide variety of variations. Recently, the second option is becoming increasingly prevalence. Surely everything for the reason that PVC platbands have embossed surfaces. It is worth saying that the original texture of the material is like a surface of ordinary wood.
Also, when buying a platband, pay attention to the method of their attachment. Recently, manufacturers produce platbands with latches. However, they may have some deformation disadvantages. Accordingly, such products may not be able to securely secure. Accordingly, when buying, you need to pay attention to each unit of goods so as not to get into the unpleasant situation. Specificity Installation of PVC

As for the installation of PVC platforms directly, there are several options here:
- Based on mounting elements. We are talking about standard fasteners that are very often used in most construction activities. It should be borne in mind that this is the most reliable and durable option, as fasteners, such as dowels and self-tapping screws, are used by the builders for dozens of years, so no problems may arise in principle. As for the choice of fasteners, it is better to apply for these issues to consultants who will give a good advice. Also, recommendations can give directly to produce.
- Based on the original latches. This design is installed directly based on the window frame. Thus, we get a holistic design, which looks great, and also differs in good quality. Many owners with distrust relate to various latches, as they can be easily damaged. However, this is not quite true. Modern manufacturers pay considerable attention to quality. However, the problem that concerns many is that the platbands can be relatively easy to remove. This is used by some intruders.
- Based on bilateral scotch. This option is used extremely rare, and even if the platband is flat and has extremely modest weight. Surprisingly, the bilateral scotch perfectly copes with his immediate task, but occasionally a sticky tape will still have to change. Also tape can be summarized if a strong wind on the street.

Installation of platbands based on fasteners
This process consists of several steps:
- For a start, measurements of the window frame occur, this procedure is carried out from the top point and on the bottom. After this measurement, the width of the platband will be added. It should be borne in mind that often these elements are installed throughout the perimeter, and at the top point level. The choice of options for mounting platbands depends solely on the preferences of the owners. Although, of course, the installation of platbands around the perimeter of the frame is the most successful option in terms of insulation of the building (about it a little later).
- Next, cutting the necessary components of the panels. It should also be borne in mind that here it is necessary to carry out measurements especially exactly, since even small flaws can affect the final result of the work. As already mentioned, it is better to take a few unnecessary platforms, since in the building process there are a wide variety of problems that are difficult to foresee. Material is often cheap, so there should be no problem.
- Now it's time to make sections at an angle of 45 degrees. This procedure is made with each platband on both sides. Most often for such manipulations, special mounting angles are used, which already have all the necessary markups. It is worth paying attention to the fact that the docking between the elements should occur without any problems, so if you have at least the slightest mines, you should check the angle created.
- After that, the wall markup is made, where the installation of platbands will occur. It also needs accuracy, since after that the holes are done using a perforator. The diameter of the drill must approximately correspond to the diameter of future fasteners. There will be enough two holes for each platband. Immediately after drilling in the created holes, a dowel is clogged. They may be nylon or plastic - it is not fundamentally.
- Next, the platbands are applied to the surface, after which they are fastened with the help of self-samples. It should be borne in mind that the fasteners should tightly press the plastic material, but should not overdo it, since the platbands are quite fragile.
Installing insulation under platbands
Many are interested in platbands for the reason that they can be installed in the installation of insulation. As already mentioned, it is actually a good opportunity to increase comfort in the dwelling. However, it is worth noting in advance that the result of the work carried out only if all the dwelling is already insulated.
To carry out this process around the window opening there must be a slot. It should be borne in mind that this very gap can have different dimensions, and you need to pay attention to it. Visually available space should be enough to install thermal insulation. If the slot is too small, it should be limited exclusively by installing platbands.
As for the installation of thermal insulation, then in this case mineral wool is suitable. To install it, it should be added so that the material looks like a two-layer. After you need to try to accommodate the material in the gap. Make it will not be easy, but it is quite possible. Excess heat insulation can be cut, but the insulation itself must speak a little from the wall. It is worth notifying that there are no gaps between the wall and insulation. Next occurs the installation of platbands that are tightly located to isolation.
Instead of mineral wool, as already mentioned, you can use the mounting foam, which also shows itself as isolation.
