How to make an interior door with your own hands

Most often, interior doors are bought ready in the store. But you can make them with your own hands, starting from the selection of material and ending with an independent installation. And in this case, you will be sure that the doors turned out as you wanted.

Types of designs of interior doors

The main task of the doors between the rooms is to isolate the room from extraneous noise, aromas and views. In their constructions, these doors are divided into two types:

1. Filenced - from the shield doors, they differ in the presence of a frame in which there is a phylenka with glass. Filenka is the part that is highlighted by frames, as well as a closing frame, plastic or plywood.
2. Shield - these doors are light and at the same time isolated sound. It is very difficult to make a shield-like doors with your own hands, and a video with a master class will not help a lot here. She has a very complex design, it consists of a smooth shield, it can later be lined with plywood. The main advantage of this type of design is good quality at an affordable price. These doors can be installed even in the bathroom.

1. Wood - for doors between the rooms, they most often take a pine, this material is inexpensive and looks beautiful, especially if it is covered with colorless varnish. But he has a drawback, with a hit, there may be prints and scratches due to the softness of the breed. This type of door is not suitable for rooms with high humidity. The oak, bean and maple door looks richer, but it costs many times more.
2. Artificial materials are chipboard, MDF. They come out not expensive and serve for a long time, they are not terrible humidity and they are of little deformation.                  
3. Glass - doors with glass inserts carry not only a decorative function, but also functional: light penetrates through glass into the room. Glasses are used different, it is recommended to use hot ones, when they break, they scatter into small pieces, but they do not hurt a person, so they can be placed even in the nursery.
4. Metal - a door leaf, completely made of metal - a rarity in apartments. Metal is rather used in fittings and other details.                              

Manufacturing of the door

Making the door with your own hand is a complex, but possible process. There are such doors that are quite complicated in manufacture. And already having learned to make them, you can move on to more complicated. For work, you will need:

• roulette and chisel, glue;
• hacksaw and screwdriver, screws;
• sandpaper;
• for a box of boards or bars, and for the frame of the rail or bars;
• DVP;
• furniture.

To make the door no special room is required, it can be done in any room. Work order:

1. The beginning of the creatures of the doors of the interior begins with the determination of their size. If the box does not have a threshold, then the box that is calculated inside with the intake of 4 mm. If the box has a threshold, then the gaps should be 2 mm from three sides and a 10 mm lumen. 8. Remove transverse boards and drill three holes. Under the compounds, make a cut half of the tree. The spike can be made simple. Do the cuts very carefully, it is better not to finish a little than cut it. Then it will be possible to carefully fit a chisel. After making the spikes, you need to arrange all the parts again, depending that the protrusions do not work out. Keep in mind that all the details need to be collected on a perfectly flat floor or table, because after the collection of the frame and when the glue dries, something will be already impossible to fix.
9. In the place where the fiberboard is connected to the frame, you need to spread it with glue, which is intended for wood. Also smear the flatic brush moistened in the glue, and on the bottom of the boards, lay all the elements in place.
10. Insert 25 mm self -tapping screws into the upper bars, check again, whether the corners are accurate and tighten the screws. It is not necessary to pull them, the main thing is that the hats do not protrude. If you use solid wood, then for hats of self -tapping screws you need to make additional recesses with a drill of large diameter.
11. Apply glue to the upper surface of the frame and on the workpiece. Put the workpiece on top and combine all faces. On top you need to put the load. You can drive 2 small carnations to fix the parts to fix the parts.
12. Open the door with varnish or paint.

Installation of the interior door

The installation of the interior door consists of several stages:
