Things that are made manually, and not in production, are appreciated much higher. This applies to everything: clothes, jewelry, furniture. By the way, recently, more and more often people have been trying to decorate their house with their own hands. If earlier it was a different small little thing, today with great pleasure people are not averse to gathering a wall-board from improvised materials in a living room or a children's sofa with their own hands.
Content
Of course, to buy furniture faster and easier, but sometimes I really want to create something big and useful with your own hands, especially when it comes to their own child, whom parents want only the best.
The advantage of children's sofas
It used to exist before children's furniture, but today beautiful children's sofas are in trend. And it’s not sacred, because in addition to the bright appearance and original design, such furniture is reliable and has a convenient design. In addition, thanks to various colors and sizes, children's sofas can perfectly fit into any, even the smallest room, and also emphasize the most refined or unusual furniture. Now many firms produce a line of children's sofas, so the assortment will surely surprise you.
Although these sofas are called “children's” they can give odds to any “adult” competitor, since thanks to a thoughtful mechanism, even the smallest sofa easily turns into a decent bed. Moreover, it is worth noting that often a full double place from the baby “turns out”. That is why the purchase of a sofa is a profitable purchase, since not only the baby, but also the teenager can sleep here. But when the sofa is folded, especially if it is a children's sofa in the form of a toy, then it turns into a compact site for games.
If for some reason the assortment that furniture stores offer today does not suit you, or does not suit you how much the children's sofa costs, then you can try to make a sleeping place for your child yourself. Moreover, you will certainly have an original and beautiful model that exists in a single copy. If this option has interested you, and you still doubt it, discard all the anxieties, since it is not at all difficult to make a children's sofa on your own.
Choosing a children's sofa
1. The transformer sofa is a great solution for a small room: during the day it is a chair or a small sofa, and in the evening, after it is decomposed, the sofa turns into a large and comfortable bed.
2. There are several options for a folding design: “Book”, “Euro -Road”, “Dolphin”.
3. For the children's room, it is best to use the “book” and “Eurobnik” - such sofas are simple, durable and completely do not spoil the flooring.
4. Good children's sofas and with a rolling mechanism, they are suitable for two children.
5. If the room is too small, and there are three or four children, then you can use a two-tier sofa bed-this design saves a lot of place, and thanks to large sleeping places on the “first” and “second” floors, it will fit without any problems up to four children .
6. Corner sofas fit perfectly into any interior and allow us to rationally use the space of the room.
7. "Sofa Tahta" most often is a wide design that comes with a linen box.
8. “Sofa-baby”, “sofa-mini”, “sofa-boy” is rather an impractical acquisition, as they are easy and convenient, but the kids grow quickly and the furniture will need to be replaced. Although children's mini-boars, photos of which can be seen below, are quite pretty and original.
9. Hard sofas - you can consider it as a good option as a sleeping place, if you are not embarrassed that most often such furniture is located very low - almost on the floor.
The sofa with its own hands
Making furniture is not in production, and at home it is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. For example, in order to create a sofa for a child, you need to buy chipboard, bars, mechanisms that will help lay out the structure, upholstery and filler. Do not forget that the fabric for the children's sofa should be bright and attractive to the child.
Design requirements
1. Before starting construction, you need to thoroughly study the drawing of a children's sofa - this will greatly facilitate the task for you.
2. When choosing materials, remember that the better they will be, the longer the sofa will last. The more, the smaller the child, the greater the likelihood that the baby will jump along the sofa, so he should be strong and reliable.
3. The children's sofa should easily be laid out and assemble, in addition, its mechanism should be safe.
4. If you decide to make a sofa yourself, then you can decide whether you need linen boxes or not.
5. Do not do a very small sofa - remember that children grow very quickly.
Making a simple sofa
Design on paper how your sofa should look: what should be tilt of the back, what is the height of the legs, what dimensions, the thickness of the pillows, etc. Keep in mind that a large load will go to the legs, which means that they should be very stable. Do not forget about the back - it should withstand a decent weight, as the child will definitely try to jump on the new sofa.
Mark the basic elements:
1. Basis.
2. Legs.
3. The back and seat.
4. Armrests (optional).
Warp
You decided to make a sofa in size 150 cm by 80 cm. The sofa frame can be made from a section of 3x4 centimeters. The parts are fastened with screws and corners of metal. As a tool, it is useful:
1. Saw.
2. The line.
3. Pencil.
4. Clenchor.
5. The cross -shaped screwdriver.
For the frame, you can take any size of materials - you can use not only rails, but also boards or beams. It depends on what load will be on the future product. Only a properly designed sofa will not upset you with surprises in the form of a deflection or deformation of the base.
Twist four rails (timber) so that you get a rectangle.
Legs
The legs can be integrated into the frame or make them a decorative element - then the perimeter of the base will serve as a support. If the legs are an element of the base, then they must be integrated as much as possible into the frame. For our sofa, we use oak balusins \u200b\u200bas legs - as for the manufacture of wooden stairs.
The legs are attached near each corner of the base of the future sofa.
Lorination
The sofa frame is sheathed with chipboard elements - bottom, sides. Subsequently, the building can be painted or tinted in the color that sympathizes with you. You can lacquer.
Sit and back
To make soft elements of a children's sofa, you will need such materials and tools:
1. Syntepon (or vatin).
2. Uphollain fabric.
3. Foam (thickness 2 cm and 10 cm).
4. Plywood shields (thickness 12 mm, dimensions 150x50 cm).
5. Glue (this is for foam rubber).
6. Scissors.
7. Chancellery knife.
8. A pistol for brackets and the brackets themselves.
9. Burriers are special for the sofa.
Sheets of plywood are the basis for the future seat and for the back. At first, 10 cm of density must be glued to the faner, and then - on top of it a foam of 2 cm. In general, the soft part of the sofa should be much larger than the plywood part - it should be at least one centimeter from each edge. In this case, the seats and the back will not be too tough. Leave foam rubber, let it dry well.
Upholstery
After the foam rubber dries, it must be covered with vatine on top, and even on top of the entire structure - with an upholstered fabric. These manipulations are carried out using a hardware gun. You need to start from the middle, but it diverges in two directions to fix the waterproof, then the upholstery.
Assembly of the sofa
Now the simplest thing is that you need to attach the seat to the base, as well as the back of the sofa to the base. It is made using metal corners and screws.
You can make armrests - the principle of manufacture is the same. And you can sew pillows instead of armrests.
By the way, the place under the seat will be enough to keep the necessary things there.
Case for the sofa
To decorate the just created creation, you can sew a case for a sofa separately. This will need:
1. Fabric.
2. Ribbons.
3. Pins.
4. Scissors.
5. Pencil.
6. Sewing machine.
Measure the children's sofa, divide it into sections. You should have at least two (if without armrests) of the part. Transfer measurements to paper, make an allowance of seven centimeters and cut the details.
Twist the resulting pieces of fabric with pins, sour cream. Try the resulting covers on the sofa, then, if everything is in order, sew up the seams on the typewriter. Try the covers again, remove where and correct it.
Bend the bromic edges, make a shout. Pour the covers on the sofa.
Tips finally
1. So that the children's sofa does not look like a prosthetic, choose bright colors of upholstery fabric or a sofa cover.
2. If you are doing a sofa for a girl, you can decorate it with frills and ruffles.
3. A sofa for a boy can be made in the color of a favorite superhero.
4. Any child will be delighted with a sofa that is made in the form of a toy (car, house, boats, etc.) or animals.
5. The back of the sofa can be made in the form of heroes of fairy tales and cartoons.
