Many people believe that to decorate the summer cottage, you just need to have a lot of money. Indeed, modern building materials are very expensive, especially considering that today many residents have encountered a crisis that forces each penny of income. Fortunately, there is a way out of almost any situation, and this case is no exception. Increasingly, you can find summer cottages that are decorated using improvised means. Many resources that are often used in decoration are thrown out, not even suspecting that these things are indispensable.

Also, you can often encounter an opinion, the essence of which is the unacceptability of the use of “garbage” as decor elements. In fact, it all depends on the result. If with the help of certain things you can create a pleasant atmosphere, then nothing better needs to be sought.
Features of the use of traffic jams from bottles
Plastic bottles, despite their simplicity, are very often used for other purposes. From the bottle itself you can create various watering can, baskets, vases and many other things. However, in this case, we will talk about covers that are much less common when creating various crafts.
Considering that plastic traffic jams from bottles are highly durable and resistant to deformations, they can be used even as coatings. The creation of a path from traffic jams is a difficult process, however, it will significantly save money, since most often the paths in the summer cottage are faced with ceramic tiles or paving stones.
Before starting the process, it is worth noting that in this case a lot of traffic jams will be required. If the family regularly acquires carbonated waters in plastic bottles, then after a few months you can easily collect the right number of lids.
It is also desirable to use traffic jams of different colors in the process. This will create original patterns or whole compositions. If all traffic jams are of the same color, you should not be upset, as this will only simplify the process of creating paths.
Building materials and tools
Many could think that our path would consist exclusively of traffic jams, but in the process we will need many building materials and tools, including:
- sand;
- cement;
- glue for tiles;
- boards;
- shovel;
- hammer;
- ruler;
- roulette.
Before starting the main process, it is necessary to thoroughly wash the corks, as well as dry them.
The process of creating a track from traffic jams
To begin with, we will have to create a marking of the territory. This will fully evaluate the dimensions of the track, as well as find problem areas. As for the unprofiting that can occur in the process of creating the path, it can be loose soil, or the presence of heavy and massive stones on the perimeter of the path, which one person will not be able to move.
The road from the traffic jams should be quite narrow. The ideal option is around 70 cm. If the path is used to move small goods (vegetables, building materials), the width of the road should be increased.
After that, you need to remove the layer of turf, as well as get rid of all the stones and large plants that can influence the ribbularity of the path. As already mentioned, it is especially necessary to relate to loose soil, which can fail at the slightest load, while the path will also be damaged.
With the help of a shovel, you need to tear the trench. Its depth will be very small - up to 15 cm. After which you need to tamp the soil as much as possible. If in some areas the soil sags, you need to arm yourself with a gravel and fill it all out of it.
The entire volume of the trench must be filled with gravel of a small fraction. And here again you will have to compact the material and make the crushed stone evenly distributed throughout the trench. If large material was used at the very beginning, the spaces between the stones can be lost using fine -fractional crushed stone.
We fall asleep on top with sand so that crushed stone is not visible at all. Despite this, the sandy layer should be minimal. After another tamping, the sand is watered with water.
Next comes the most crucial moment - installation of traffic jams. The covers are pressed into the sand, and to such a depth that when walking along the path, they do not fall out. Traffic jams should be pressed against each other. Ultimately, if everything is done correctly, we get an almost monolithic surface. When walking, traffic jams will be pressed more strongly.
On the sides of the tropics you can make a small decorative border. Most often, it is made precisely from plastic bottles cut in half. In this case, the halves of the bottles are simply pressed into the ground.
Clamps based on concrete
In some cases, a sand -based path for many may seem too unreliable. Indeed, after heavy rains, it can be a little damaged, especially if the soil had some problem areas.
In this case, it is recommended to use a concrete solution. By and large, the technology remains approximately the same as in the past case. We need to dig a trench, compact it, fill it with gravel. After that, a concrete layer is created, which includes cement, sand and fine crushed stone. After pouring concrete, the plugs must be pressed again, but this time into the solution. Everything should be done very quickly, since in the fresh air concrete very quickly gains strength.
Today, this option is the most optimal for the reason that various dyes and plasticizers can be added to concrete. This will create a truly chic decorative composition. At the same time, do not forget that the traffic track is a budget option for those who want to save on the purchase of expensive building materials. In most cases, traffic jams will not be able to replace a full -fledged tile coating.
